Menomonee Falls, WI – The Automotive Fleet and Leasing Association (AFLA) has kicked off a 7 Day Safe Driving Challenge based on the presentation Mike Pitcher, CEO of LeasePlan, gave during the recent AFLA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

This challenge encourages everyone to go 7 days without using their phones while driving to draw attention to the high rate of distracted driving caused by cell phone usage on the road. Participants are encouraged to fill out the survey at afla.org to accept the challenge and invite friends, family and colleagues to join the movement.

The challenge will remain open for individuals to sign up until the end of 2014. Based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, AFLA promotes growth, expansion and professionalism within the fleet industry by providing education, research, technical standards, representation and advancement of member interests. AFLA has nearly four hundred members representing all industry segments, including fleet managers and sourcing professionals, auto manufacturers and dealers, remarketers, maintenance and repair companies and many other specialized suppliers. The organization also hosts an Annual Conference, Mid-Year Forum, educational webinars, releases industry whitepapers and offers opportunities for members to network with key leaders throughout the fleet industry.
